In the beginning of the project 3, we were required to show our idea which was inspired from project 2 in the idea board. We need to specify and stick the images of materials we will be using in our retreat. In the same time, we have to consider the impact, textures and patterns created by these materials in this stage.

 

My concept for the retreat house design is "Sprouting with Disguise" in which nature plays an important role in it. The retreat house itself is under the disguise/cover of the nature such as the oil palm trees surrounded it and the creepers that grow on its wall. The site that I have chosen for this retreat is where surrounded by lots of oil palm trees and in front has a river. This is to give a sense of closeness to nature. Other than that, because of the "disguise" idea, the retreat give a sense of green when a person is in it because of the creepers that grow all around it and the green scenery at the outside.
